Daron Acemoglu on Technology and the struggle for shared Prosperity

2023 – Below a link to an interview (podcast transcript) with Daron Acemoglu. This MIT professor recently published a book summarizing the debate about technology and work. The scientific debate goes in all kinds of directions and it is not always easy to know exactly what to conclude. The interview is an interesting summary of that book.

According to Acemoglu, an important outcome of the debate is: shared prosperity as a result of technological development requires employees to have more ‘control’ and ‘voice’ over technology.
